#1. Stories/novels will not change or interfere with the existing timeline, places or important characters of the world unless the character, place or historical event's status quo is maintained by the end of the story. ie. If you appear to kill an important character, they should later show up alive and well having survived the fall, fireball, building collapsing, etc, and were only pretending to be dead, in hiding, and so forth.
#2. Participant writers agree to only publish their works digitally, preferably on Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Nook or Lulu. Self-Publishing via Lulu and similar formats are also permissible. Any print publisher (outside of Self-Publishing methods) will be a breach of the Korovia Free License Agreement.
#3. Participant writers agree to include the Korovia logo on all Korovia-based ebook covers published on Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Lulu and Nook. (The official logo is shown above. Save the transparent PNG file and use it to make your book cover for Amazon Kindle.) The official book cover template is on the right here (please right click, open the larger version, save and edit in Paint Shop Pro or PhotoShop).#4. Participant writers agree to use official Korovia maps in their published ebooks. Or to use those maps to create even more detailed maps. We are constantly adding to and updating the maps. If you have a question about a particular region please ask.
#5. Participant writers agree to read all the setting description material available on this website and make an effort to write stories which coincide with the existing knowledge of the world for the sake of consistency. Note that setting material will be updated over time, so older ebooks will not be held to this rule very strictly.
We recognize that there will likely be future discrepancies, but the effort has to be made so that all participant writers can take part and make use of the Korovia setting without stepping on each others' toes.
